Severe Case of Baby Fever

Well we just found out a couple weeks ago that Michael’s brother and sister-n-law are expecting their second child, which is super exciting for our family. But it really has me wanting a baby even more now than ever, I think I have made it very clear in past posts how much I want a baby. But right now truly is not the right time for us, but that doesn’t mean I still can’t have crazy baby fever. So this week for Five on Friday I thought I would dedicate my post to all things babies.
By the way, I really want a boy and Michael really wants a girl someday. :)
{One}
All must-have shoes like these, will in fact send us into debt if were to ever have a girl.
-Seriously, no joke.-

I found these on Pinterest and just HAD to add them to my baby board. As of right now, I can say I will probably be the new mom that has a kid dressed to impress, all the while I'm standing around looking like I was spawned from a clown and zombie.

Baby. Halloween. Costumes.
 Enough said.

This is so fitting for me, but I want to make sure I have one for every month of my pregnancy.

Holy Freakin' Batman...I will never be able to "just let it be a surprise" on the baby gender. Because I plan on decorating a nursery that is so epic that HGTV hasn't even seen one like it!

Highlights of our December

With me being M.I.A. lately, I figured I would do a little update since I posted nothing of our Christmas or the month December, for that matter.
Michael and his BIGGEST fan, Aubree! We get to their house and she asks Lane and I where is Michael...she could care lessss about if Lane and I even showed up. It's so funny how much she loves her Uncle Michael!
Payton, Lane & Aubree in their ugly sweaters for my side of the family's Christmas! If you have not been to a ugly sweater Christmas or party, you are most defiantly missing out. I feel like it's a must try for everyone, we had so much fun.

As you can tell, Lane has MAJORITY girl cousins on both sides of the family!
This was Christmas Day with Michael's family, the weather was beautiful all week here in Texas.

So my mom got an iPad for Christmas...you can probably see where this is going. After convincing my 18 year old niece who was completely drugged up from getting her wisdom teeth removed, to steal her iPad for a few minutes.
We left her some VERY flattering photos on her new fancy iPad, that she doesn't know how to work yet! Haha!

This was the beginning of December...shorts and t-shirts.
Welcome to Texas, folks.

Dodge ball in the house!!

First off, I look like a beached whale and the new trend of lace headbands looks darn right horrible and does nothing for my round face. I was not going to post it because of how ratchet I look but I had to show you how our ugly sweater Christmas went...if you notice my dog even had sweater on! Ha!

Michael and I went and spent Christmas morning with our niece Lilli since Lane was with his mom. We are so fortunate to get to see all our families have such a great Christmas!

Someday I Will...

The Daily Tay

This afternoon I decided to link-up with Taylor for a much needed reminder of things I want to do.

Someday I will...learn to dance like Beyonce instead of Miley Cyrus.

Someday I will...pay off all our debt, we may only be debt free for 24 hours, but by gosh we did it.

Someday I will...go to a Super Bowl and wear a different teams jersey.

Someday I will...build our dream home in the country on a huge wooded piece of property with a pool, outdoor kitchen and master bathroom the size of Texas!

Someday I will...adopt even more rescue dogs.

Someday I will...accept my flaws and stop picking myself apart for the smallest of things.

Someday I will...learn to cook without worrying that I'm poisoning my family.

Someday I will...run at least a 5K.

Someday I will...bump into Angelina and Brad and they will adore me so much that they ask me to become their nanny.

Someday I will...hopefully become pregnant, I know this one isn't up to me but I can still hope for the best. :)
Someday I will...meet Gordon Ramsey and use every cuss word I know. Just because I can.

Someday I will...weight what I did in high school. I know it can be done, I just have to actually workout more than once a week.

Someday I will...own a Birkin bag. Psssh! Fat chance!

Someday I will...get a reality show.

Weekend Rewind

Hey! Hey!
I know I'm probably breaking all sorts of blogger rules by not posting about my weekend on Sunday or Monday but I like to break the rules because I'm different.
Yeah, I'm Different.
**Please reference 2 Chainz if you are confused**

Anywaysss, we had several things on the agenda this weekend but like always we try to squeeze 108 things 1 day. I don't know why we do that to ourselves, I should probably check with the scheduler about that crap. But we did get a few things accomplished, seeing my niece's playoff game from her first year of 8U volleyball was at the top of my list. We woke up at 6AM on Saturday, and drove 2 hours to get to the gym by 9. If that doesn't nominate us for Aunt & Uncle of the year, I don't know what will!!? Payton was so excited to see us both, which made getting up early on a Saturday more than worth it! Payton is my sweet, innocent, wouldn't hurt a fly, girly-girl so when she became so focused, serious and aggressive during the game, I was totally shocked and proud. The hubs and I (JL was with his mom, but we sent him pictures) got to see 2 games on Saturday and spend some time with my brother and sister-n-law and of course Payton.

After the games, we grabbed lunch and had to run some errands around Fort Worth before heading home that evening. I received a text  on our way home from a sweet friend about them being in town and for us to come out to their camphouse. (A "camphouse" is also known as a deer camp, hunting lodge, deer lease.) We haven't got to see them or their kids in over 6 months, so we decided we had to go visit. For me, when all together there is not alot of things better than a camphouse, good friends, vodka/cranberry and good music. :)

We had such a great time!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday Everyone!

This weekend was JL's first baseball tournament for the Fall, we were all looking forward to it because it meant we were not going to be sun burnt and drenched in sweat from just being outside for 10 minutes. JL has played year around travel baseball for the past 4 years, which makes us very busy...year around. The Fall season is always my favorite mainly because I get to wear sweatshirts the whole weekend. It is the small things in life, right?!

We love our #4!

Anyways, on Saturday we drew the 4:00 and 8:00 games, which are game times I will never complain about because all that means to me is that I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn. Our 4:00 pool play game went great...6-4 win.

JL & his cousin Rhaina
It's hot chocolate. Not coffee, folks.

A legit cold front actually moved into Texas Saturday, so the weather was set for us to be playing baseball in football weather. Again. No complaints from me. But some of the other moms were cold and I was craving a white chocolate mocha so after our win we loaded up and made a trip to Starbucks...to wait 40 minutes in line. Usually I would say eff this line I'm out of here but that warm liquid heaven was really calling my name. We made it back to the complex in hopes to win the next game and then head out to dinner with most of the team. Right about the time the boys were taking the field, it started lightening and raining. We all loaded up in our cars waiting for the rain to pass...45 minutes later they finally cancelled our games. We all got checked into our hotel rooms and got the boys rounded up to go to dinner at 9:30. Dinner was great, lots of laughs between the boys and parents. Finally at 11:45 I got myself and JL in bed while a few of the dads were partaking in some adult beverages in the parking lot since we had no clue if we would even play the next day.

The next morning we got the call that the fields for to wet to play on and the rest of the tournament was cancelled. It was pretty disappointing considering we drove all that way, spent a few hundred dollars and only played 1 game. Since the weather was 75 and gorgeous, we grabbed Olive Garden (JL's favorite place.) and headed home to catch the Cowboys' game.

Spaghetti and lemons for lunch.

The hubs and I watched the game on the patio with the dogs while JL went to the football field with his cousin to play around.

She is such a classy lady when she crosses her legs

My nosy, Scooter

Even though we didn't get to play much baseball and the Cowboys lost, the weekend was still a great one. Cooler weather...Starbucks...dinner with friends...and sleeping in...It is the smaller things that make it great, right??

Weekend Recap

I had all the intentions to be writing this post last night but thanks to a sore throat and achy body, it was a no go. You would assume my achy body was from a earth shattering hangover since it was my birthday weekend and all or my sore throat was from talking loudly in a crazy crowded bar. -Nope. Didn't happen. Whomp. Whomp. But I'm not complaining, instead my niece and her roommate came to visit from college, which was the hubs and I first experience with having college age "kids" who eat anything and everything in your kitchen. Since they came down to visit and it was my father-n-law's birthday the day after mine we decided to cookout fajitas Saturday night with some close friends and family. My awesome mother-in-law made homemade enchiladas, thankfully I refrained from eating all 75 enchiladas she brought. That's called extreme self control, people! I tried to indulge in some adult beverages but it to was a no go because I was to busy trying to be the hostess with the mostess. Eeeekkk! Which is another sign I'm turning into my mother! Apologizes for not taking pictures like a true blogger but I was taking my hostess duties very seriously Saturday night.

All and all we had a good time...until...the hubs got the outdoor TV working just to watch the ass whooping that was UT vs BYU. Just sad. Just plain sad.

But I did get a picture of the beautiful roses and lilies I got this past week from my sweet hubby.

I have a lot going on this week and some changes for the my blog coming up very soon, so be sure to stay tuned!
:)
Have a FABULOUS week!

Weekend/Monday Recap

So, it's Monday night and I'm just now getting around to putting this post together, my apologizes. The weekend was pretty uneventful for the Hubs and I, JL was with his mom this weekend so, we had some alone time! I have been extremely busy and stress so the Hubs suggested we go out for sushi and relax. I was dressed and in the car 15 mins before he was ready, excited much?! :) We decided to try a new place, so we picked Deep Sushi in Lower Greenville! It was great, the Cherry Blossom roll was KILLER and the service was awesome! We talked, relaxed and scarf down some great sushi...love dinner dates with my hubby!

The cherry blossom roll is on the right! It was so wonderful!

Lately I have been so sleepy, which isn't really like me (Prego? Nope.) so I took a nap midday Sunday that felt so great that I decided on go to bed early as well! This morning I had my first personal training session with my mom's trainer, Montez. I had such a nervous feeling walking into the gym, partly insecure from the "first year fifteen" and then not knowing how my body was going to react. Of course whats the first thing on the list to knock out...lunges! I could feel my Kardashian butt forming with every walking lunge I did! Yeaaaah! By the third set, I could of swore my legs had been set on fire! But by golly I finished it and the whole darn workout that was only focused on my legs and butt. Am I proud of myself? Hellll Yessss! But let's just say tonight....I could use a handicap bar when using the restroom!

I go back Wednesday for arms! Bring it on!

Hope everyone had a GREAT weekend/Monday!

Just A Little Reminder

As I sat around last night with my second glass of wine, hubby watching the Rangers and the dog asleep on the dirty clothes pile that I decided wasn't going to get done, I was reminded again that I have a pretty darn good life!
Mainly because I get to indulge in wine on a everyday frequent basis.
Can I get an AMEN?!

Secondly, I genuinely have good people in my life! Starting with my awesome parents who I miss already because they moved to OHIO last week for a job.

Thirdly, I have a man who loves me dearly...even though he thinks its absolutely hilarious to hold me hostage in my car with a water hose! 5 minutes later and the ipad as a shield I made it in the door with only my shoes wet...

Fourthly...(is that a word? It looks weird). My quest this month to let shit go is...lets just say its a work in progress. STILL.

Happy Humpdaaaaay! Hope everyone is having a FABULOUS week!

Let It Go...

My plan when I set out to start blogging last month was that I was going to be as open and honest about my life as I could possibly be. I pledged to myself that I was not going to edit myself on any level. (Hence the title of the blog.) So, with things like JL's school starting back and his Fall sports, life gets pretty busy at our house this time of year. Do I love it?? Absolutely! But there's a part of me that struggles if things don't go as smoothly as I expect. Resulting in me blaming myself, which I know can’t be healthy!  I for a fact am my toughest critic. The constant worrying that I'm letting my family or friends down has become overwhelming. I have fought with this for awhile now and it’s exhausting and frustrating at the same time. Life is not going to always go as planned but for some reason I struggle with accepting that. I honestly don’t know where this unrealistic responsibility comes from, but ITS GOT TO STOP!

So, with a new day, new school year, and new outlook, I’m going to make a promise to myself to not be so harsh on myself and to Just. Let. Shit. Go…

Getting Older...

With my birthday coming up early next month it got me wondering..."Where the hell did the time go?!" I just turned 21 last year....7 years ago! So why do I feel so....do I dare say it?..OLD. Yeppp. But before anybody starts in on the "When I was your age..." mumbo jumbo...l think I have came up with some reasons why I'm feeling older than I should.

** When I go into Home Depot I get school girl crazy over the new washers and dryers that they came out with...
** 21 year olds use "ma'am" when speaking to me...
** My sweet mom saids "they have a cream for those bags under your eyes!" Thannnnkkkk you mom for pointing those out!
** I'm in the yard watering my plants at 7am when our neighbors young son is just rolling in...
** I enjoy grocery store music...
** My 18 year old niece tells me my kickass new Nike's aren't in style anymore...And all I could wonder was "Then why the eff are they still so expensive!?"

As of this moment I'm not looking forward to this birthday but I still have a little less than a month to change my elderly attitude towards getting older to a young and hip way of approaching it!
 :)
Wish me luck!

Weekend Recap

 Hey Everybody!

As some of you can imagine having a blended families can make things very hard and sensitive and this time of the year is extra difficult for the hubby and I.

After JL has been here for the past month, it was time for him to return to his mother's house Sunday. It's a day I dread every summer because the hubby is so sad that day, because he had just got use to him being here for a long period of time. Our house immediately goes from having noises of a little boy bouncing off the walls to a quiet space.

So to try to make things less gloomy on everyone I planned for us to cookout over the weekend, visit, and enjoy the time we have as a whole family.

My parents have this awesome outdoor kitchen and space that we decided to gather at over the weekend. We need rain here in Texas so BAD, so excuse the extra crispy yard.

Even though it was 104, and you seriously sweat standing still, we enjoyed our music, dinner, drinks and watching our kids with Grandpa and PePaw!

With each picture I posted the more I feel like we look Honey Boo Boo's family! :)
My brother in law and Hubby

My sweet peas Lilli & Rhaina

This is a confirmation we are some form of REDNECK! :)
Do we let our kids drive cars/trucks/jeeps on our property? Well Yeah! They have to learn sometime! Do we cook on the grill and drink beer? Sure do!
Do we own hunting rigs like this?
Absolutely!!!

It's not that we won't see JL for awhile, its just that for the month of July we get to experience everyday life as a family, so that's what is hard for us when he leaves. So hopefully us spending this weekend like we did helped not only the hubby and I but JL too.

Happy Monday!!!
