Challenge Accepted!

With it being only a couple weeks into the New Year and everyone still talking about their resolutions, it really got me thinking. Ekk! Scary thought, I know!  While in my state of thinking, I decided I wanted to come up with a way to start challenging myself in 2014. I most certainly want to succeed at whatever challenge I set for myself. But I am that person who, if I set a goal that I feel right now is out of reach. You can bet your ass that I will say EFF-IT in the first few days! So, I would like to think the more small goals I can complete; the more confident I will become in feeling that I can achieve anything I set my mind too.
So onto my challenge….
Has anyone seen the article of the lady from Seattle who only ate Starbucks for the last year??
Let me just say, I’m a Starbucks lover just as much as the next white girl…but that is straight up CRAY CRAY! I can guarantee you I would never ever want to eat at 1 place for a year. I love all kinds of food wayyyy to much to deprive myself in that way. Even though I think she’s completely nuts-o, I have to applaud her on the self-control and determination because I would have probably stabbed someone with a fork because I was craving something over than lattes and muffins.
But it was after reading the article that I considered trying to challenging myself in any kind of way. I thought about giving up alcohol for 30 days, but we all know that shit got vetoed in a hurry! I also thought about starting with the 30 day squat challenge…Nahhh.  Then I had a brilliant thought…I decided to give something up that I know is really not good for me and kinda weird….Flamin’ Cheetos. Yep.  I crave them. I want them all the damn time. They are my crack. It’s insane, because I KNOW how horrible they are for me but, for some reason I can’t control myself around those hot little crunchy chips! So after battling with myself for a few minutes on rather I could give up my drug of choice. I decided that I CAN do it. J
So that is my goal from today, January 16th until February 16th…give up Flamin’ Cheetos. That may sound easy to most of you but trust me when I say it won’t be for me.

Highlights of our December

With me being M.I.A. lately, I figured I would do a little update since I posted nothing of our Christmas or the month December, for that matter.
Michael and his BIGGEST fan, Aubree! We get to their house and she asks Lane and I where is Michael...she could care lessss about if Lane and I even showed up. It's so funny how much she loves her Uncle Michael!
Payton, Lane & Aubree in their ugly sweaters for my side of the family's Christmas! If you have not been to a ugly sweater Christmas or party, you are most defiantly missing out. I feel like it's a must try for everyone, we had so much fun.

As you can tell, Lane has MAJORITY girl cousins on both sides of the family!
This was Christmas Day with Michael's family, the weather was beautiful all week here in Texas.

So my mom got an iPad for Christmas...you can probably see where this is going. After convincing my 18 year old niece who was completely drugged up from getting her wisdom teeth removed, to steal her iPad for a few minutes.
We left her some VERY flattering photos on her new fancy iPad, that she doesn't know how to work yet! Haha!

This was the beginning of December...shorts and t-shirts.
Welcome to Texas, folks.

Dodge ball in the house!!

First off, I look like a beached whale and the new trend of lace headbands looks darn right horrible and does nothing for my round face. I was not going to post it because of how ratchet I look but I had to show you how our ugly sweater Christmas went...if you notice my dog even had sweater on! Ha!

Michael and I went and spent Christmas morning with our niece Lilli since Lane was with his mom. We are so fortunate to get to see all our families have such a great Christmas!

I'm BAAAACCCKKKK!

It's been a hawt minute since I have posted anything. But like I said last month I have had more important things going on. It's been a VERY eventful month for yours truly...but I am back on the wagon and ready to take this blog to boom town! Boomtown?? Did that sound dirty?! Anywaysss, I hope all you beautiful people had at least a Great Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Blessed New Year, Happy Anniversary, or Happy Birthday--you get the point.

This year has certainly had its ups and downs for me. But I really want to believe 2014 is going to be much better, I am new believer that you are what you make it. For me that goes for everything...Life...work...health...relationships, etc. If you have a shitty attitude all day everyday about every darn thing...trust me when I say, your vibe is no bueno. And for me personally, I don't want to be around it. So my new goals for this new year are to live MY life...to enjoy the present...to try to find inner happiness...not to judge people...make the best of everything! :)
