Blog Update

Hello Friends!
Happy Humpday to you y'all, there is only a few more days until it's the weekend. Which I am eagerly looking forward to, since we actually don't have anything going on until Mother's Day. I am not even kidding...no weddings, no baseball, no practices, no birthday parties. It's been over 3 months since we have had a appointment free weekend and this sista is ready to enjoy it! But we do have Mother's Day plans Sunday with Michael's mom and grandmother, which is always good with me...because. who the hell doesn't love homemade Mexican food!?! I won't be getting to spend Mother's Day with my own madre because she lives so far away, but I did drop her card in the mail Monday.
What do you all lovely ladies have planned for your special day??

The Fuentes' house has had a couple changes recently that I haven't had a change to share with you guys. -No, I'm not preggo yet. Butttt, Michael put in for an awesome job opportunity a couple weeks ago and HE GOT IT! We are so excited, the company is amazing and the benefits are fantastic! Plus he gets a brand spankin' new Ford crew cab company truck that he gets to drive 24/7! And then to top it off...this mamacita is now a stay-at-homer! After driving 2 hours one way to work for 5 years, I am very relieved to be able to have time for anything especially time to focus on ME! Which I don't mean in a selfish or bitchy way, I just need to put some effort into myself instead of trying to take care of everybody else. I joined the gym last week, along with going over recipes and meal planning. After seeing pictures of myself at my sister's wedding and then this past weekend, I really need be in there!!! Michael and I have developed so many horrible eating habits over the years so I know it's going to take us working hard to break them. I am kinda anxious as well about not working because the last thing I want to do is get bored. So, if y'all have any suggestions on making the move from career woman to stay-at-homer, let me know! :)

Quick Weekend Recap:
My cousin's wedding was beautiful as expected, Lane danced with all the ladies.....as expected. :)
We spent the night downtown San Antonio on the Riverwalk, we left Sunday morning to head home. We couldn't go home without stopping at The Snake Farm in New Braunfels. Lane absolutely LOVED it! The snake part was not fun for me but all the rest of the farm was, I highly recommend! They have a section where you get to feed goats, pigs, ducks, and a llama!

Cute Kiddos and Drunk Selfies

Happy Friday!
We have been so damn busy lately that I have not had time to even try to think about sitting down to put together a post.
For example...we have 2 basketball tournaments, a baseball tournament, 2 weddings, a bachelorette party, then a bachelor party and then Lane's birthday...and that's just the next few weeks. I feel more like a crazy person that usual, so please share the crazy pills.
Then to top off all my bitchin'...Texas weather has been just plain stupid lately, we have "cold fronts" or rain every couple days so my allergies are HORRIBLE right now, my head feels like it's the size of a fucking watermelon! Andddd the humidity is so high that my long curly hair looks like a
short and voluptuous, but legit afro.

Ok. I'm done whining.
Moving on...
Today I am linking up with Darci at The Good Life for Five on Friday to give ya'll a brief fly-by of my busy weekend/week!

{ONE}
This past weekend we drove 2 hours to Fort Worth for my niece Payton's volleyball game and her birthday party at the trampoline park. Then, we had her mama's/my sister-n-law's 40th birthday party. Overall...we had a BLAST!
Payton & Lane after her first volleyball game of the season.

After the game we had Payton's 8th birthday party at Altitude Trampoline park in Fort Worth. Even though it smelled like feet, it's an awesome place to take kids for them to burn off all that damn energy!
I can't even handle how cute these kiddos are!!!

OK...after all the kid activities...everything went to shit, so around 7pm that night. :)
I know as a blogger you are suppose to post "good quality" pictures but I truly didn't have any....#blameitonthealcohol

OK. You guys get the idea.
The vodka made us think we could do just about anything.

Moving on, this weekend I leave for Austin for my sister's bachelorette party. It will probably consist of other photos that look like the shit storm from above and the madness that takes place in Austin! :)
This is the shirt I ordered to wear this weekend...I'm super excited!

After being returned from the first home I placed her in because her car sister hated her, Lexi has found an awesome home with an old classmate of mine who has 2 kids that will love her forever.
She was dumped at our rural home a few weeks ago so if I ever find the piece of shit that dumped this 2.9lb baby, I swear I will throat punch him or her as hard as I can! :)

Have a FABULOUS weekend!

Five On Friday

Happy Friday!!

This is first time in a longtime that I am linking up with the lovely Darci over at The Good Life, for Five on Friday.

{One}
Last night was Lane’s first junior high dance and the first time the hubs and I were able to help him get ready and take him to something like this. It was such a sweet moment for us. The best part for me was when he got home and told me all about the dance and what all girls he danced with. I swear I could of cried...

Lately I have been obsessing over shoes, which is probably nothing new; it is just until now that I can acknowledge I have a problem. This week while drooling on my keyboard, I found these fabulous boots! I have always been so afraid to wear an ankle boot but these are so fantastic that I don’t even care if I look like a wannabe country hipster! Told you before I was a rebel!

{Third}
I put my 3 week notice in at work!!! Helllll to the Yesss! I guess I should go forward with the dream of auditioning for Real Housewives of Texas because I would be the ideal wife for the show! I am only missing the ridiculous amounts of dolla billz, a closet like Lisa Vanderpump’s and love for drama. But maybe they would make an exception.

The joy that comes over me when I find long wine aisles with allll my favorite wines is the same feeling I had when I was 7 years old waking up on Christmas morning. -REAL TALK-

My cousin’s fiancée was able to make the drive up to my sister’s bridal shower this past weekend and I just absolutely adore her! She is so much fun and fits in perfectly with our loud and outspokenfamily. I am so glad she is joining our family in May!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday Everyone!

This weekend was JL's first baseball tournament for the Fall, we were all looking forward to it because it meant we were not going to be sun burnt and drenched in sweat from just being outside for 10 minutes. JL has played year around travel baseball for the past 4 years, which makes us very busy...year around. The Fall season is always my favorite mainly because I get to wear sweatshirts the whole weekend. It is the small things in life, right?!

We love our #4!

Anyways, on Saturday we drew the 4:00 and 8:00 games, which are game times I will never complain about because all that means to me is that I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn. Our 4:00 pool play game went great...6-4 win.

JL & his cousin Rhaina
It's hot chocolate. Not coffee, folks.

A legit cold front actually moved into Texas Saturday, so the weather was set for us to be playing baseball in football weather. Again. No complaints from me. But some of the other moms were cold and I was craving a white chocolate mocha so after our win we loaded up and made a trip to Starbucks...to wait 40 minutes in line. Usually I would say eff this line I'm out of here but that warm liquid heaven was really calling my name. We made it back to the complex in hopes to win the next game and then head out to dinner with most of the team. Right about the time the boys were taking the field, it started lightening and raining. We all loaded up in our cars waiting for the rain to pass...45 minutes later they finally cancelled our games. We all got checked into our hotel rooms and got the boys rounded up to go to dinner at 9:30. Dinner was great, lots of laughs between the boys and parents. Finally at 11:45 I got myself and JL in bed while a few of the dads were partaking in some adult beverages in the parking lot since we had no clue if we would even play the next day.

The next morning we got the call that the fields for to wet to play on and the rest of the tournament was cancelled. It was pretty disappointing considering we drove all that way, spent a few hundred dollars and only played 1 game. Since the weather was 75 and gorgeous, we grabbed Olive Garden (JL's favorite place.) and headed home to catch the Cowboys' game.

Spaghetti and lemons for lunch.

The hubs and I watched the game on the patio with the dogs while JL went to the football field with his cousin to play around.

She is such a classy lady when she crosses her legs

My nosy, Scooter

Even though we didn't get to play much baseball and the Cowboys lost, the weekend was still a great one. Cooler weather...Starbucks...dinner with friends...and sleeping in...It is the smaller things that make it great, right??

Weekend/Monday Recap

So, it's Monday night and I'm just now getting around to putting this post together, my apologizes. The weekend was pretty uneventful for the Hubs and I, JL was with his mom this weekend so, we had some alone time! I have been extremely busy and stress so the Hubs suggested we go out for sushi and relax. I was dressed and in the car 15 mins before he was ready, excited much?! :) We decided to try a new place, so we picked Deep Sushi in Lower Greenville! It was great, the Cherry Blossom roll was KILLER and the service was awesome! We talked, relaxed and scarf down some great sushi...love dinner dates with my hubby!

The cherry blossom roll is on the right! It was so wonderful!

Lately I have been so sleepy, which isn't really like me (Prego? Nope.) so I took a nap midday Sunday that felt so great that I decided on go to bed early as well! This morning I had my first personal training session with my mom's trainer, Montez. I had such a nervous feeling walking into the gym, partly insecure from the "first year fifteen" and then not knowing how my body was going to react. Of course whats the first thing on the list to knock out...lunges! I could feel my Kardashian butt forming with every walking lunge I did! Yeaaaah! By the third set, I could of swore my legs had been set on fire! But by golly I finished it and the whole darn workout that was only focused on my legs and butt. Am I proud of myself? Hellll Yessss! But let's just say tonight....I could use a handicap bar when using the restroom!

I go back Wednesday for arms! Bring it on!

Hope everyone had a GREAT weekend/Monday!

Weekend Recap

 Hey Everybody!

As some of you can imagine having a blended families can make things very hard and sensitive and this time of the year is extra difficult for the hubby and I.

After JL has been here for the past month, it was time for him to return to his mother's house Sunday. It's a day I dread every summer because the hubby is so sad that day, because he had just got use to him being here for a long period of time. Our house immediately goes from having noises of a little boy bouncing off the walls to a quiet space.

So to try to make things less gloomy on everyone I planned for us to cookout over the weekend, visit, and enjoy the time we have as a whole family.

My parents have this awesome outdoor kitchen and space that we decided to gather at over the weekend. We need rain here in Texas so BAD, so excuse the extra crispy yard.

Even though it was 104, and you seriously sweat standing still, we enjoyed our music, dinner, drinks and watching our kids with Grandpa and PePaw!

With each picture I posted the more I feel like we look Honey Boo Boo's family! :)
My brother in law and Hubby

My sweet peas Lilli & Rhaina

This is a confirmation we are some form of REDNECK! :)
Do we let our kids drive cars/trucks/jeeps on our property? Well Yeah! They have to learn sometime! Do we cook on the grill and drink beer? Sure do!
Do we own hunting rigs like this?
Absolutely!!!

It's not that we won't see JL for awhile, its just that for the month of July we get to experience everyday life as a family, so that's what is hard for us when he leaves. So hopefully us spending this weekend like we did helped not only the hubby and I but JL too.

Happy Monday!!!
