He Does Laundry and Farts...

Remember when I told you guys about our anniversary last week and shared that mushy line about Michael being the best thing that has happen to me?....
Well…
I just knew all ya’ll have been on the edge of your seat since then, wondering how my hubby makes my life better. So given that I have had 2 glasses of wine since watching The Bachelor…I decided to give you all a few examples of why he is no Tom Cruise but still completes me.

-When he passes gas, he fans it in the opposite direction of me.
-He accepts my recent snoring.
-While in New Orleans, he hungout in a gay bar with me, while I scouted out a gay male best friend.
-Also, while in New Orleans…he held my hair back from touching the toilet.
-A couple weeks ago he decided he wanted to cook a great steak for himself…instead each of our dogs had a VERY well done steak for dinner that night.
-Instead of turning the radio off when I proceed to show off my singing abilities, he just turns it up louder so it saves him a headache and I still get to become Carrie Underwood in the car.
-He did laundry that one rare time…and he went from attractive in my eyes to me wanting to jump his bones right there on that clean laundry pile!

-Last night he poured me a glass of wine...to the top of my wine glass. He understands me so well...
-His way of cleaning is spraying Febreze.
-He gives me more comments when I wear burnt orange! (Hook’Em Horns!)

2nd Anniversary

Two years and a day ago, I was blessed enough to marry the world's best driver, a baseball loving trash taker-outer, a omelet making comedian, and the best vodka drink maker in all the land!
Anddd after 2 years I still wouldn't trade him for anything! :) Because he is the best thing that has ever happen to me!

Highlights of our December

With me being M.I.A. lately, I figured I would do a little update since I posted nothing of our Christmas or the month December, for that matter.

Michael and his BIGGEST fan, Aubree! We get to their house and she asks Lane and I where is Michael...she could care lessss about if Lane and I even showed up. It's so funny how much she loves her Uncle Michael!

Payton, Lane & Aubree in their ugly sweaters for my side of the family's Christmas! If you have not been to a ugly sweater Christmas or party, you are most defiantly missing out. I feel like it's a must try for everyone, we had so much fun.

 

 

As you can tell, Lane has MAJORITY girl cousins on both sides of the family!

This was Christmas Day with Michael's family, the weather was beautiful all week here in Texas.

 

So my mom got an iPad for Christmas...you can probably see where this is going. After convincing my 18 year old niece who was completely drugged up from getting her wisdom teeth removed, to steal her iPad for a few minutes.

We left her some VERY flattering photos on her new fancy iPad, that she doesn't know how to work yet! Haha!

 

 

This was the beginning of December...shorts and t-shirts.

Dodge ball in the house!!

 

First off, I look like a beached whale and the new trend of lace headbands looks darn right horrible and does nothing for my round face. I was not going to post it because of how ratchet I look but I had to show you how our ugly sweater Christmas went...if you notice my dog even had sweater on! Ha!

 

Michael and I went and spent Christmas morning with our niece Lilli since Lane was with his mom. We are so fortunate to get to see all our families have such a great Christmas!

Weekend/Monday Recap

So, it's Monday night and I'm just now getting around to putting this post together, my apologizes. The weekend was pretty uneventful for the Hubs and I, JL was with his mom this weekend so, we had some alone time! I have been extremely busy and stress so the Hubs suggested we go out for sushi and relax. I was dressed and in the car 15 mins before he was ready, excited much?! :) We decided to try a new place, so we picked Deep Sushi in Lower Greenville! It was great, the Cherry Blossom roll was KILLER and the service was awesome! We talked, relaxed and scarf down some great sushi...love dinner dates with my hubby!

Lately I have been so sleepy, which isn't really like me (Prego? Nope.) so I took a nap midday Sunday that felt so great that I decided on go to bed early as well! This morning I had my first personal training session with my mom's trainer, Montez. I had such a nervous feeling walking into the gym, partly insecure from the "first year fifteen" and then not knowing how my body was going to react. Of course whats the first thing on the list to knock out...lunges! I could feel my Kardashian butt forming with every walking lunge I did! Yeaaaah! By the third set, I could of swore my legs had been set on fire! But by golly I finished it and the whole darn workout that was only focused on my legs and butt. Am I proud of myself? Hellll Yessss! But let's just say tonight....I could use a handicap bar when using the restroom! 

I go back Wednesday for arms! Bring it on!

Love, Marriage & 25lbs

First comes LOVE, then comes MARRIAGE...then comes 25lbs attached to your ASS!

With only a year and half into my marriage I find myself guilty of being comfortable with my hubby and not "trying" as hard as I did when we were dating! I think most of us ladies can relate to this on some kind of level. But with that being said, the Hubs will even admit to gaining the "first year fifteen" as well. 

So why do we get complacent with ourselves in the first few years of marriage? 

 I know for me, I made sure my hair, nails, outfits, skin and body looked a certain way everyday I was around the hubs when we were dating. To the point that I was borderline obsessed with the way I looked. It was my MAIN priority! Then came the proposal, I made even moreee effort during the planning of my wedding to make sure I was completely put together!  But after March 3rd, 2012 it all went down hill from there! But not in a "binged on Twinkies the day after my wedding" kinda down hill! It was gradual, 1 "cheap day" turned into 2 days....then into from the time I got off work Friday until I went back Monday. I found myself getting lazy with my food prep and planning my meals, along with traveling with JL's baseball team that would have us eating out or on the go the whole weekend. So now I find myself just as pissed as I was when the college "freshman fifteen" jumped aboard! 

Soooo....starting TODAY these extra lbs are gonna have to move the hell on...because my ass is not the place for them! :)


I had to post some of my bridals just to give me that little extra motivation to pull myself together! :)

Throwback Thursday-What 6 years looks like...

Ohhhh, how we have changed! The top picture is the Hubby and me when we first started dating in 2006 after a longggg and eventful night in College Station! The bottom picture is one from our engagement shoot in 2012. 

I find myself staring at this picture wondering how many times I've actually seen my Hubby without facial hair...maybe a couple times?
