Hey Y'all!!
First off...It's been 1 year since I started my blog and I have absolutely loved every minute of it! I made some awesome friends and wish I would have started this journey earlier. :) Thank you to everybody that has followed along with our crazy life this past year...Looking forward to another year! Cheers bitches! :)
Moving forward...We finally made it home from Galveston Beach last night! It was such a great trip, we are always so busy and with Lane being 12 he always is with friends or wanting to hangout with friends. So it was really nice for just us 3 to spend some quality family time together. It feels like it's been forever since just us 3 have spend this much time together with limited phone interruptions or crazy schedules.
We got there Saturday mid-day after sitting in Houston traffic for an extra hour. We pretty much went straight to the beach and hungout until late that evening. Sunday was an all day beach/pool day, which was really relaxing to have a pineapple & orange fruity drink in my hand while working on my tan.
Thennnn came Monday...Monday was deep sea fishing day! The boys have been looking forward to this for weeks! I was even excited to see what this adventure brought. Well after 20 minutes on our fun adventure...it brought me nausea, a light head and dizziness. Yep. This sister got sea sick. It sucked, I mean really sucked! I really thought I was a badass and it wouldn't happen to me but that was an epic fail.
Even though I was laying anywhere I could get the dizziness to stop, the boys still had a blast. Michael and Lane both caught sharks and asking fish. It was pretty damn awesome, it took Lane around 20 minutes to get his shark to the boat and about 30 minutes for Michael. It was INSANE! I seriously was laying on my back with my head hangin off watching the boys fight their sharks! It was not my finest moment but so worth for the boys to have the great time they did. But my sweet hubby finally said it was time to make the 15 mile trip back to land since my face was ghostly white. :)
I would highly recommend Capt. Dave at Get Hooked Charters in Galveston to anybody! He was fantastic with Lane and put up with me being extra sick sea!
